From Bill Hartranft To Me: The 5 “P”s Of Multilevel Marketing.

It is very beneficial to have mentors in life that you can look to for guidance, advice and inspiration. As a networker in the multilevel marketing industry, this is particularly vital. There are so many different companies out there and “Gurus”, each claiming to be the best ever, that it is very easy to get swayed by all the hype, and lost along the way. Your mentor will be able to help you filter out some of the MLM “noise” out there and increase your focus on what is important.

From Bill Hartranft To Me: The 5 “P”s Of Multilevel Marketing.

I am pleased and privileged to name Bill Hartranft as one of mine. To find out more about Bill Hartranft just click here. He would be very happy to connect with you. As a man, Bill absolutely loves people and has a heart to help in any way he can. Bill has over 35 years experience in the MLM industry, as a successful networker, and is willing to teach and pass those nuggets of knowledge and skill on. His story is made even more special as he does what he does while dealing with some intense physical challenges. He is a true leader, and it is pleasure to be working with him in Ready Built Downline.

I have been fortunate to be on many training sessions with Bill. One that I found inspiring was where he outlines the 5 “P”s of Multilevel marketing.

1)      PEOPLE.

People are your most important asset in this industry. After all they are the ones that make up your downline, without which you cannot earn the residual income you desire. You have to love people, and give value to people in any way you can. Take care of them and treat them with respect. I wrote a post about how to treat prospects. Ask questions, and listen to the answers! Connect with them, and build that relationship. Make helping them your first priority, not using them to help yourself….that is a key difference.

From Bill Hartranft To Me: The 5 “P”s Of Multilevel Marketing.

2)      PURPOSE.

What is your purpose for getting involved in the Multilevel marketing industry? If it is just to make money, then that is NOT enough. You have to think beyond that. Once you discover your WHYs for your MLM business, and they are strong enough, you may be surprised at your increased resolve to succeed in it. This industry is not always easy, so if your purpose is weak, you will very likely give up before you succeed.

3)      PERSONAL GROWTH.

This industry should bring out in you a greater understanding of your own personal awareness. It should inspire personal growth. You are the most vital part of your business, and you don’t succeed by being stagnant. Basically, if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. There are a multitude of skills you can learn, from IT skills to personal interaction, all geared towards enabling and equipping you to succeed. I strongly invite you learn from the very talented group of networkers and entrepreneurs working together in Ready Built Downline, for FREE!

From Bill Hartranft To Me: The 5 “P”s Of Multilevel Marketing.

4)      PASSION.

The truth is, if you don’t love what you are doing, your chances of success in it are greatly diminished. Simple as that. If you don’t love your Business opportunity, love your team, love your product, or just love the Multilevel marketing industry as a whole, you REALLY have to question if this is what you need to be doing.

5)      PROFIT.

Bill crowned off his training session with the simple point of adding that, not just knowing, but actually applying steps 1-4 will bring you profits, and profits like you may have never imagined. Then you REALLY get to fulfill your WHYs for getting into the MLM business.

From Bill Hartranft To Me: The 5 “P”s Of Multilevel Marketing.

As I listened to the training, I actually considered an “extra P” to add here.

PERSISTENCE.

Bill was 100% right with the last point. However, unless you persist in applying them no matter your circumstance, you will fail as a networker. I mentioned earlier, It is not easy to make the type of incomes that the hype out there suggests. Many make an income, but many are spending more than they earn!  This may be so in the beginning, but apply the principles above, and persist….even though things may seem bleak at the moment. That persistence WILL pay off and get you where you want to be. Bill faced many challenges, physical ones as well as financial, that would have caused many networkers to give up on the multilevel marketing world. But he PERSISTED, and that got him to where he is now.

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

One of my colleagues uses this phrase a lot: “Teamwork makes the Dream work”. And I have heard it a lot in the marketing circuit. Well this post is to tell EXACTLY what teamwork means and exactly HOW it will benefit you as a entrepreneur / networker in this industry in achieving your dream.

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

Generally when teamwork is mentioned in the MLM industry, it is in reference to a downline. When they say “build a team”, it means “build a downline”. There is a lot emphasis on the individual in this industry. And rightly so. Traditionally you are working by YOURSELF, building YOUR empire….It all starts with YOU! In many back offices you can’t see your upline. Your business “tree” starts with YOU. You are technically a one man band. You can get help from mentors and sponsors etc, but whatever happens in your business boils down to YOU and YOUR abilities, YOUR circumstance, YOUR situation, YOUR finances, YOUR knowledge, YOUR skills…..basically YOUR world. That is one of the major blessings of this industry. You only have to answer to YOURSELF, and your hard work rewards YOU, and not somebody else like a boss or employer etc.

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

But this can also translate into the curse of this industry. Because you are limited by exactly the same things: YOUR abilities, YOUR circumstance, YOUR situation, YOUR finances, YOUR knowledge, YOUR skills…..basically YOUR world. You can only do one thing at a time, be in one place at a time. Technology can help to a degree with some automation, but unless you have the knowledge, you miss out.

Teamwork, simply put, is when you have more than one person working together towards the SAME goal.

That is the “WHAT”. Now HOW will teamwork benefit YOU?

1)      Increased Wealth Of Knowledge and Resources.

Because of the different facets of this business, no one person knows or has every single skill needed to succeed. And whilst you may not need to “everything”, working as a team means that what you don’t know, your partners just might! So you don’t have to learn it all yourself. You lean on their knowledge, and they lean on yours!

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

2)      No Longer Limited By Time And Space.

When working as a team, you can potentially do multiple things at the same time. Be in multiple places at once. While your partner is closing people on a 3 way, you can be updating your blog. While he is giving a presentation, you can be responding to email queries and correspondence. When you stop working for the day, your partner on the other side of the world is just beginning! It is amazing what you become capable of with teamwork!

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

3)      Your Circumstance Becomes Less Relevant.

Think about this. Between your day job, your kids, and your other family extracurricular activities, you might only be able to manage an hour a day to dedicate to your business. Now if there were 6 of you in the same situation, that is 6 hours a day dedicated to your goal! 6 for the price of 1! If you are unable to work for a few days, there is someone to hold the fort for you! So you see, you are less restricted by your situation.

4)      Exponential Results.

With teamwork, your results will increase exponentially! And you will ALL reach your goal faster.

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

5)      Less Lonely Affair.

Working as a team can make you feel like you are not isolated, whether in your celebrations or when things get tough. The focus on “YOU” in this industry can be isolating, but teamwork can make the difference.

How Teamwork Can Make YOUR MLM Dream Work!

Now Is It Possible To Build A team Like This?

I can tell you that IT IS and IS ALREADY BEING BUILT!!!

Joining a group like READY BUILT DOWNLINE will get you there! This is a team of individuals working together for the same goal, and doing it successfully. They are really changing the face of the industry – and this is evidenced by the other copycat groups popping up. They have garnered much success already, and are only just beginning. With READY BUILT DOWNLINE, TEAMWORK really does work like CLOCKWORK to make YOUR DREAM WORK!

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

I have mentioned in previous posts the importance of having a blog as a networker in this Industry. It is probably the BEST way in which you can differentiate yourself from the masses in this business, and get YOUR voice heard. Your blog can be thought of as your advertisement platform for your business. And this is why what you say / write in your blog posts is very important.

I wrote a post on the various ways in which you can find inspiration for content for your blog. It doesn’t end there. Once you have been inspired you need to THINK before you put pen to paper. I emphasize the word “THINK” as if forms the acronym for the things you NEED to think about before you publish your blog post.

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

1)      TRUTH.

You always have to honest in what you are writing. It would do you NO GOOD whatsoever to print lies, or ridiculous exaggerations. Your blog is an extension of you, a glimpse into your world, your business…Is that the image you want to portray? Be truthful in your blog posts. Also, it always has to be YOUR truth. It may or may not be the truth as others see it, but it has to be YOURS. You can, of course, be inspired by your mentors – that is great!. But I have had people in the past literally “copy and paste” posts of mine, and pass it off as their own, without permission or credit to me as author! While I am flattered that they felt it worthy enough to be copied, but that was dishonest, and am glad to say they corrected it when I brought the misdemeanor to their attention.

So, before you publish, IS YOUR POST TRUE?

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

2)      HELPFUL.

Whatever the reason for your blog, if you are not offering anything of value, you WILL lose your readership. As a networker, when you write, people have to be able to find value in you and what you offer. And when I say value, I don’t necessarily mean an opportunity to make money in your biz op. As networkers we get blasted with that ALL the time. I mean, an answer to a question they have, a solution to a problem. This could be anything from how to choose a business opportunity, and build a strong downline, to where to find prospects and how to speak to them.

So, before you publish, IS YOUR POST HELPFUL?

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

3)      INSPIRING.

This links in tightly to the point above. Your blog has to inspire your readership. That has to be your aim: To inspire, to encourage, and to empower. They should leave your site feeling a little more able in their business than before they read your blog post. If they are inspired, they will come back for more. Before you know it, they will become loyal followers of yours, and when that trust grows between you, you will be better placed to help them with their business issues and personal ones in many cases…and they will also be better placed to receive from you! If they don’t get it from you, you better believe somebody else will provide it.

So, before you publish, IS YOUR POST INSPIRING?

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

4)      NECESSARY.

What are you writing about? What is your blog post saying? Does it really need to be said….really? An example is this. Sometimes things will happen and we want to “rant” to prove our point, so we head to our blog post to do that there. That may not be necessary. However, if you publish such to illustrate a lesson learnt, then that’s different. Is your chosen topic what you as a networker would want to read about? Would it alienate your readership? Sensitive topics include sexuality, religion and politics. Is your post relevant? One of the best ways to decipher this is through “keyword” searches and research. More on this in a later post.

So, before you publish, IS YOUR POST NECESSARY?

5)      KIND.

This comes into play when writing a review of another networker (guru) or company opportunity for your blog. The general rule of thumb is that if you can’t say ANYTHING nice, SAY NOTHING! Pick another company or person to review. This also links back to the other points, you have to be honest in what you write, so don’t feel you need to say something was positive for you, when it actually wasn’t. You can’t be helpful and inspiring when you have reviews where you are tearing people or companies down. That does NOT give a good impression of you as a good networker! And people can be put off by that.

So, before you publish, IS YOUR POST KIND?

Your Next Blog Post: What You Need To THINK About Before You Publish It.

So there you have it. Make sure you THINK before you publish your post on your blog! Be A Professional Networker. Be Truthful. Be Helpful. Be Inspiring. Be Necessary and Relevant. Be Kind. I look forward to reading your blog!

I would love your comments and thoughts, especially if YOU were helped or inspired by this post! Please share below.

What I Did With My First Residual Income And Bonus Cheque – A Personal Note.

That is the dream of networkers everywhere, right? We await the day the residual income starts coming in. This is what we work for, what we aim for…what we were “promised” before we turned business partner from just a prospect. This is what will help us achieve our WHYs.

If You Are Receiving Residual Income In Your Business, CONGRATULATIONS!!

What I Did With My First Residual Income And Bonus Cheque – A Personal Note.

If You Are NOT, Please Click Here Now To Join A Group Of Entrepreneurs That Will Help You Do Just That!

As a networker, what you do with that first residual income, or bonus, cheque is very important. Now this is NOT a post to tell you what to do with your money. You are an adult in business and make that choice YOURSELF. But this is just to guide or inspire you from my personal experience.

Well there are many things you can do when your first residual income gets deposited in your account:

1)      Buy Yourself Something Nice.

And Why Not? You have earned the money. This can be very motivational, where you congratulate yourself with a little gift, something you have wanted but put off getting. Personally I wouldn’t go overboard with this as this first cheque does NOT equal millionaire status….yet.

What I Did With My First Residual Income And Bonus Cheque – A Personal Note.

2)      Pay A Bill.

Be it a car payment, light bill, gardener, or grocery bill. It is nice to have that extra bit of help to take a little load of your shoulders.

3)      Reinvest It In Business.

This is a smart move for that residual income, as a networker. This can be put towards your next month’s autoship, used to purchase a tool that will really explode your business, or even pay for that trip to the BIG training conference looming in your primary company. However you choose to invest it, you are making that future of residual income even more secure for yourself.

What I Did With My First Residual Income And Bonus Cheque – A Personal Note.

However you choose to spend that money is ENTIRELY upto you. There is no “real” right or wrong answer. Each networker is different. Just spend it wisely! No point in getting that money if you are just going to throw it away. If you are lucky enough to get a large enough deposit in your account, you may be able to do ALL THREE points above! Wouldn’t that be nice?

SO…What Did I Do With My First Residual Income Cheque?

Well, after paying my tithe to my church, I gave mine, in its entirety, to my husband. I wrote a post about the importance of gratitude in this business. This was my way of saying THANK YOU to him for his support in, and of, my business. It is not something he asked for, but it is something I had ALWAYS decided that I would do for him. He works very hard to make sure our little family has everything we need to be happy. And network marketing will give me the chance to retire him one day! So for his unfailing investment into our well-being for today, and for the future, I thought he deserved it. It may not have been a large cheque, but he deserves it all.

What I Did With My First Residual Income And Bonus Cheque – A Personal Note.

Furthermore, the great thing about being a professional networker, is that there will be more residual income in the pipeline to deal with the list above!

So What Did You Do With YOUR First Residual Income Cheque? Please share, as it will inspire others working towards realising their WHYs.

Writer’s Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

Blogging in this industry is very important for many reasons. It is a great way to brand yourself. With so many people offering the same opportunity as you, generally to the same potential prospects, personal branding is the way to differentiate yourself from the masses and stand out. By having a blog you would be better placed to do that. It is also a way of offering value and training to your prospects and business partners. Again it serves as your personal store, where prospects can buy from you.

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

Of course, intrinsic to the purpose of having a blog is to have content there that your (new) prospects will be interested in viewing, which would draw them to the blog in the first place. Whatever your blog contains must be of value to them.

At some point, for every networker, especially for those new to the industry, there will come a time when writers block will hit – meaning in simple terms that you would want to blog, and find yourself stuck for content!

What to Do?

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

Well first, don’t panic. Take a deep breath.

Then use these methods to inspire yourself with content ideas for your blog:

1)      READ.

This is KEY to overcoming writer’s block. When I say read, I mean go through some of your old blogs. You may find that many ideas there that you could add to. Read other people’s blogs. This you should be doing anyway. Your mentors will very likely have blogs that would inspire you. There is nothing wrong with writing about a topic they have written but from your OWN point of view. Read books on the industry and write on particular chapters that inspire you. There is PLENTY of written material out there to inspire you, and they make for excellent content for your blog!

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

2)      TRAINING.

Do some training, or go over training you have done before, or your old notes. Then blog about what you have learnt! Another terrific way to get over writer’s block. And by reading this post, you are doing exactly that! Good on YOU!

3)      INTERVIEWS.

This usually makes for great content for your blog posts when dealing with writer’s block. Connect with one of your mentors and ask those questions you always wanted to ask. Many would be pleased to answer questions to help you. Just be aware that they are also mentor to MANY, so the time they give you is to be used wisely.

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

4)      REVIEWS.

There are over 70000 MLM companies out there! Pick one that you come across often, read about it and write a review on it. It doesn’t have to be ”war and peace”, just the highlights will do –  age of company, leadership, products and compensation plan. Just remember to be truthful, but positive overall. If you can’t find anything positive while researching the company, pick another one!

5)      SHORTER POSTS.

When writer’s block attacks, don’t be afraid to write a shorter post. The average length of a blog post is about 500 words. But as long as what you have to say is of value to your readership, don’t focus so much on word length.

6)      PERSONAL STORIES.

Building Relationships is Key to this industry. And you can’t build relationships if you don’t let people into your life to a certain extent. Show your human side. One of my mentors, the brilliant Ray Higdon, often shares stories about his wife, or his pet dog, in his blog. This helps us relate to him better, and it gives him material for content for his blog too – not that he lacks it!

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

7)      LIVE!!

Yes. Live Life! You would be surprise the inspiration for posts that I have gotten from watching a movie, or from a trip to the supermarket, or an evening with the relatives! Just make a habit of carrying with you a small pad and pen to jot down these inspired thoughts when they come so you don’t forget. Whenever I feel short of inspiration, I look in my pad and have an array of possible topics at my disposal, which make great content for your blog, and kills writer’s block!

Writers Block? Struggle NO MORE!!! Discover 7 GREAT WAYS To Get OVER IT.

So you see, 7 great ways to beat writers block! Looking forward to reading your “inspired” posts!

The Importance Of YOU In Your Business.

There are many things you need to consider when you are starting out as a networker. You have to have a great company opportunity. You have to be working with a great group of people, as no man is an island. You have to find great mentors that inspire you because this can be a tough business and we all need that direction and guidance from time to time. You have to get great training too, because no one person is great at everything, and as they say, a leader is always willing to learn and improve on their knowledge.

The Importance Of YOU In Your Business.

Now there are also things that you have to offer out there in order to get, not just volumes of people attracted to you, but the right people. And that thing is VALUE. And this can come in varying forms, be it training, or even your time. The trouble about that is the fact that there are many other networkers and entrepreneurs offering those exact same things!! There are many leaders out there offering value, with great training, and who are willing to give their time to helping you improve yourself for your business. But there is ONLY ONE THING that only you can offer to your prospective clients, that no one else can….

And That Is YOU!

The Importance Of YOU In Your Business.

Yes, YOU!

No one else can be YOU, But YOU! And you are the BEST AT BEING YOU! And that’s why it is SO important that you be yourself in your business, because that is your most vital tool for success.

Now, don’t get me wrong. You can learn new techniques and skills from other entrepreneurs, and the training they offer. You can improve on what you have, change any bad business habits you have learnt and gain new good ones. But ALWAYS have that consciousness of who you are in whatever you are doing. Once you start to lose yourself and the essence of who you are, you start on the slippery slope to failure.

So it is very important to make sure you take care of yourself in every way.  Try to exercise regularly and eat well, to ensure your physical well-being. Speak words of encouragement to yourself to build yourself confidence, because THAT is the hardest battle you will face as a networker in this industry. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you make mistakes. It happens to us all! Just figure out what went wrong, get the lesson from the situation, and move right on! Have a good positive, grateful, thankful and edifying attitude in your business and personal life. This will ensure you attract more of THOSE kinds of people and energy into your life.

The Importance Of YOU In Your Business.

Now, not everyone is going to like you, or appreciate you for who you are. You can do all the “right” things, but still come across some people that just won’t get you. There’s no crime there, they are not bad people etc. That’s just the way life works. And you know what, that’s ok! Really, it is! Let me give you a recent example that happened to me, personally.

I invited a colleague of mine, a fellow networker, who seemed pleased to connect with me to “like” my page on Facebook. He “liked” it, then “unliked” it, and sent me a message. I quote:

I did like your Masterminding page, but then unliked it. Sorry Kiki but I'm getting sick and tired of mlmers shoving religion down my throat. It seems every programme I am joined at the moment is full of Christians who want to mix business with religion. This is wrong in my opinion. I joined a business not a church. Your page also mixes religion into your page, and I'm not wanting part of it. I am happy to work with people on business matters where ever they come from and whatever their beliefs politically or religion wise. But please don't try to convert me as I don't like it!!!

Hope this doesn't offend, but I needed to clear it up front.”

As you can see this was a response to some Easter messages I had put on my page, given that it was Easter weekend. My response:

“That's fine. I understand that. and if you choose not to like the page, that is fine. your choice. And I respect it.

Being Christian is something that is important to me and a big part of who I am. And While I dont make it my business to convert anybody - (it doesnt work that way )- I dont try to hide it either., and wont, neither will I apologise for it. There are MANY people in my life that are not Christian, and we still have respect for each other's choices. and there are many that are and for those that are, this is a connection we have, and a celebration for us, given that Easter was just last weekend, so you are bound to get some sort of proclaim from Christians!

So. I dont take offence at you not liking my page. it's not a big enough deal for me to. It's a shame that you would make that choice, but it is yours and I respect it.

Thanks for clearing it up, and owning up to your decision.

I like that.

hope you have a great week regardless!”

So, do I think he made the right decision? Well yes, he did…for him.

Was I trying to convert him? No – people can’t convert people. I am not a preacher, and don’t preach on my page. And I don’t agree with anything being shoved down anybody’s throat. Business, religion, faith, opinion…whatever it is.

Do I think he has missed out on the value from my page? Yes, absolutely. But it really is not a big deal.

Was I offended? Certainly was not.

Did I delete him as a friend? No! He seems like a nice enough person and a decent enough networker.

Will I change what I put on my page from now on? ABSOLUTELY NOT!.

I know who I am, and what I believe in. I know that my faith is KEY to my success as a networker, and life, and will share that with those willing to receive. Not for everybody…but that’s ok!

The Importance Of YOU In Your Business.

So know who you are, and BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, and TRUTHFUL – good or bad. It will get you far in this industry!

Ready Built Downline Scam: Truth Uncovered!

If you are a networker, you would be very familiar with this word: “scam”. There are many who believe the MLM industry is one big scam in itself! But for those entrepreneurs that don’t, they now have to get down and dirty and wade through all the hype out there and decipher which company opportunity is legit, and which is not, from those offering large sums of income within 10 minutes of signing up, and those offering to build a downline for you for a small fee. Now this can be quite the task because you don’t have to look very far to see many offers that seem too good to be true, with “testimonials” to match! For the entrepreneur looking for that promised residual income, the scams are a minefield!
